I finally get my license back in febuary, which means I will start driving around again. I currently have 2 sx10s in but I am no where close to being satisfied. Im really looking for the good low bass, like found in Late Night Tip or Right Above It, thats my favorite kind. If you think this is the wrong sub, or there is one better please lemme know. I really would like to go with a RE Audio mx18 ( d2, 1500 rms). I drive a crew cab titan (biggest cab). However I dont want to stick it in the bed, I want to build a box for it.Box wise, I have had a couple ideas. It would be out of mdf, and whatever the more recomennded size is, I keep reading 5/8 and 3/4. It would also be a ported one (for the mx18 its 7cf@ 33 hz) Idea #1: " L " shape. Actually an L rotated 90 degrees. I basically want it to go from the floor up, and then extend over onto the seat and continue up the seat. This would be placed in the middle. I would like the box to remain flush. As in, the actual box part, or the part that will be touching the floor, will have to be high enough so that it extends up far enough past the seat so that when the box reaches the seat, the top part of it is completly level. Idea # 2: "L wedge": exact same idea, except that on top of this box was a wedge, which would add a bit more air space and allow me to direct the sub in a direction. I really only care to apply this if the direction the sub is facing actually has an effect on the sound. if so, where should i place the wedge, on the front or back? And which way should I face the sub? towards the front of the cab, towards the back? straight up? up to the left, up to the right etc.... I want to try and do everything to ensure that bass sounds best from the drivers area. Titan (current) : 2 RE Audio SX 10's ap30001d 270 amp alt d3100 under hood I have another d3100 available for use if I never need it. then for my power and ground Ive got some black really flexible 0 gauge wire, its like kolosaus so yeah, I mean I can pretty much power whatever sorry if my wording confuses you
