I am looking at buying 1 amp now and a matching one in a week or 2. Im wanting to strap them together at 1ohm. Im looking at optidrives 1900s or audiopipe 1800s. Any info anyone knows will be helpfull thanks.
hey we agree ,just get an amp that does what you need at 1 or 2 ohms.between the 2 amps your looking at ,the opti hands downseems like it would be better to just buy a .5 ohm stable amp that would provide the output you seek. This one appears to be designed to be efficient at .5ohms, based on the almost doubling of output from 1 ohm to .5 ohm. A very impressive amp for the $.

i believe crescendo stands behind their .5 ohm as wellps Lanzar is one of the only ones I am aware of (there may be others) that build a true .5 ohm stable amp and stand behind it. This would allow for safe 1ohm strapping on the .5 stable amps as well.
thx, yeah they do not give specs for it, but they do state it will work on the right electrical. It looks to be more efficient at 1 ohm, judging by the doubling of power from 2 to 1ohm.i believe crescendo stands behind their .5 ohm as well
yea these amps are beast and .5 ohm stable.one of my friends say the bigger ones on volt sensitive if they drop below 13 or 14v they will fry Very quickly. my friend ONLY uses lanzar is a auth dealer. also the amp i have is .5 ohm stable as well and is rated at .5 ohm, also a few people have burped them at .25(im not).seems like it would be better to just buy a .5 ohm stable amp that would provide the output you seek.
