8 layer for the SPL option
That says 3 inch 4 layer buddy lol
im glad someone finally said it.Coil diameter is not the sole determining factor in thermal power handling.
Thats gotta b an old link here it says you can order 4" coil on the bl. https://ssl.perfora.net/www.ficaraudio.com/sess/utn;jsessionid=154dc2c047ba4f6/shopdata/0050_Speakers/0020_BL/product_overview.shopscriptThat says 3 inch 4 layer buddy lol
You won't be disappointed. It will love 2500I really like the Orion HCCA 12" sub the more that I look at it. The subs will perfectly match my amp since they are the same series with the same logos and colors and the sub has some serious weight to it! Weighs about the same as the RE XXX but costs less money. I'm probably gonna go that route and give Orion a shot. Their amps have never failed me so I'm hoping their speakers won't either!
Thanks for all the solid input guys. Now if I ever need to know what subs to check out again I can just refer to the list in this thread.
Well talk to SPL more... I am very happy with my experience with him and cant wait to get my sub...Yeah I don't need the sub to handle 5k as cool as that is. The MOST I'd be throwing at it is 2500w. and If I want to do a blow through with 4 subs later on down the road that's going to require 10,000w of power! This is going to get expensive real quick lol..
this man will hook you up, excellent guy here.^ glad to hook ya up
no 4" 4 layer coil will take 5krms clamped.
a rms rating means that power constant for 20+ mins nonstop
