I have a clarion dpx11500 mono amp and all I have for a sub right now is a 10" db drive plw10d4, 800w rms 1600peak. Should I put the sub in a ported or a seald enclosure? How do I wire my sub from the amp? (Please be descriptive).

ported would help it get louder, lower, and more efficient power wise. Sealed would help with SQ, and not be as efficient. Basically, most people would reccommend going ported.

That amp does 1500 rms at 1 and 2 ohms. Your sub is a dual 4 ohm. I definately wouldnt reccomend wiring it series as youd probably only see 400 rms. Youll probably have to wire it in parrallel, but be careful as youre amp will put out double its rms if you crank it.
