I just swapped out my factory speakers for JBL speakers in my 2012 Jeep Compass. Initially, the speakers did not work. Then, after shutting my car down, locking, and unlocking it... the speakers worked perfectly fine. This morning, got in my car, speakers and stereo worked fine. Now, my stereo pops on like normal and no audio is coming out of my speakers. Can someone please help me?? It seems like it's an easy fix. I'm going on a road trip tomorrow and would like to fix this ASAP.

Were the speaker ohm-loads the same from factory to the JBLs? That "may" play part. Some head units with 4 to 8 ohm stock speakers really dont like 2 to 3 ohm aftermarket speakers.
The JBLs I had in my G8 were 2 ohm, when I sold the car, I gave the JBLs to a friend with a G8, he put them in his wife's ride, I dont remember what it was, but it did some popping and hissing at 50% or higher volumes.

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.
