I have done this multiple times in the past, and I have never had so much issue with a wiring harness. This GMOS-01 harness is just a mess of wires, and the manual for the stereo is very non-specific for what colors on their harness are.

First question. The 16 pin harness on the GMOS-01 has two red wires, but the instructions only mention one. Do I just ignore one?

Question two. Which wires are what on the Pioneer harness?

I really appreciate any help you give. I am ripping my hair out in frustration.

The GMOS-01 comes with a diagram. It show cutting 4 wires and redirecting them, but this is not listed in the instructions. The diagram takes place after the directions for an additional 12 pin harness that I don't need for my vehicle. This leads me to believe that I don't need to cut these wires, but I'm not certain.

Ive doubled up 12 ga many times for sub wiring.. even 14 ga for speaker wiring. Its OFC and it should do great and save you some money since you...

My brain hurts just looking at those diagrams. It's late so if anyone sees a problem with either of those, please feel free to chime in!

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.
